North of England Legends

Legends Rugby took the spirit of rugby to the North of England last week with a match hosted by Chester RUFC. The North of England vs Chester Barbarians game saw many ex-England internationals, including Stuart Turner, Henry Paul, Steve Hanley and Leon Lloyd, turning out.

The day kicked off with a junior coaching session for children from Chester, Mold and Halifax, hosted by the Sale Sharks RFC. Later in the day, over 1,000 rugby fans watched the North of England Legends beat the Chester Barbarians 38-21.

Speaking on the day, North of England Legends player and Legends Rugby patron, Leon Lloyd said: “It has been a fantastic day and we are thrilled with the outcome of the match. The weather has been fantastic and the turnout of fans has made it a day to remember. Games like these are a great way for us to spread the spirit of rugby regionally from grassroots up to ex-players.”
